Another Coastal Run

Another eventful day at an Oregon coastal stream. We left early this morning, and took the two hour drive down towards the ocean.  Arriving around 8 am, we started out in the same area that we have fished the last couple trips. Today the line up consisted of myself, Matt, and Steve. I started out pretty hot today, while Steve and Matt we snake bit at the start. After hooking up several fish, and landing a few, I left the hole to my fishing partners to see what they could do. They did not disappoint. In less than thirty minutes, Matt hooked up with 3 fish, and Steve hooked up about the same, and landed a nice Chinook. I then headed back into the slot to fish with them. Steve and I had back to back doubles, and one brief triple, with Matt hooking up the third for just a minute. All in all it was a great day, and the fishing was great. Spending time with these two fishing partners of mine over the years, has taught me the value of friendship, and I would like to think it has made me a better person, but most of all, "a better Fisherman". At least better than them. HA!!
