The Snooky

Today the bite was on pretty good. I had just one client of Yakutat Lodge today, and he did great. We started out a bit slow, but picked up the second hole we fished. Hooked up with five in the second spot, and then one good hookup every hole until just a little above the weir, where we hit another 3. So he got into 11 fish, but only two to the boat. One good release video. I am thinking the Steelhead season is over. The fish left in the system now are either, spawning, or leaving the river. Allot of fall back fish are being caught now. The Sockeye are just below the weir, but they are not heading up river yet. They have been in the same hole now for about a week. I don't think they will move until another push comes in behind them. Hopefully the season on Salmon will be a good one, and we will get plenty of fish to cast at. Here are the pics from today. By the way, he also got a limit of Sockeye in the same hole where they have been.

Good luck out there.
