Great day for Sockeye Fishing

I had the same couple Yakutat Lodge clients, that I walked up the river two days ago. A father and son team, that just love fishing, and being in the outdoors. They hooked up, and landed so many fish today, that I just sat back and smiled. Some days just make you say, AAAHHHH that was good stuff. We had some steady rains throughout the day yesterday, so I was a bit concerned about water levels, and fish moving around. The river did rise about 6 inches, but the fish co-operated, and stayed put for the most part. In the last week, the Sockeye have been dispersed throughout the system, but today they were definetly in the upper five miles of the river. After getting a limit, we headed down to play with some hold over Steelhead, but with just a strike or two, we got nothing to take pics of, however we did fight a nice bright 3 lbs King, that spit the hook after five minutes. I got a few fish in the air today, but the video of the jumpers is proving harder than I thought. In the video, you can see two fly lines side by side, both lines are on the same fish. Tag teaming makes it easier, Ha Ha. Here are the pics and the vid. Also I have the pics from the ocean trip they went on yesterday, when they got a limit of Silvers, and Kings. Great day on the big pond!

This is another really good entry!  Great shots too!
