Silvers are abundant

Silver Salmon in the Situk river, has to be the best fishing in Alaska. The fish are in so heavy now, that all 14 miles of the river is full of nice big Silvers. I have been very busy, and the Internet has been out for awhile, that's why no posting's for awhile. I have been on the Situk, and the Italio rivers the last week. The Italio river is a fly out spot for Silvers. I have some great underwater vids, that for some reason I can not upload from here.

I have been with Yakutat Lodge clients, the Flaraty's, a father son combo. Two of the funniest clients this year. The Italio, much like the Situk, is full of large Silvers. The Italio river, is a river carved out of the sand. The ocean is just a 1/4 mile downstream, and the fishing on the incoming tide is fantastic. The limit on the Italio is also higher than that of the Situk, with the Situk being two, and Italio being four per day. So if you are coming up anytime soon, keep a fly out to the Italio river in mind.

Here are the pics from a couple days ago.
