“They say the run is over”

I took a couple days off this weekend, and so I am posting for Friday, Saturday with Damon and Bobby, and Today with Damon, Richard, and myself. Friday was a fairly good day. I hooked up with 11 fish, and landed 3. On Saturday, if I am correct, Damon and Bobby went 3 for 6. Today was a different day though. Between the three of us, we got into over 35 fish. If the numbers are right, Damon was 6 for 13, Richard was 3 for 8, and I was 6 for 11. We got some great pics, and I will try to separate all the pics in the correct order by the days. One of the fish I hooked and landed today, was a real big egg wagon. She slammed my fly, and shook her head all the way to the beach. Today was one heck of a day, and I am hoping to have many more just like it before, (“Like they say,(””The run is over””)). Well if these fish we are catching, are suppose to be the end of the run, then I wish the end would have come sooner!! The water is very low and clear now, and the fish are hunkered down tight in the riffles. If you work them in the correct water though, you can still get them to strike. We got 90% of our fish to bite today, there were 3 fouled fish, but the rest were head shakers, and fighters.

Friday by myself!

Ok, ok I usually don`t resort to name callin. I hadn`t had my coffee. What I meant to say is we love this place. There are killer runs, deep holes, pockets of fish and a backdrop for chrome to fly threw that is breathtaking on some mornings. Not to many folk to fuss with either, so it fits us, period.
