Silvers are showing up now!!

Well the Silver Salmon season is just about to kick off, and I have heard of a few being caught. I had a guide trip 3 days ago, and we saw 2 Silvers, and hooked one. Lost it, due to bad line, but we did hook up. Since then, I have heard that many more are arriving on each tide. Pink Salmon are still making their way up the system, and will continue until the end of August. Waters levels are perfect right now, and I hope they will continue as such from here thru September. Kings salmon are all but gone, with only 400 or so large kings making it thru the weir count. This was not the amount they are looking for, and we can only hope next year is better. Situk Lake is still full of Sockeye, and the pinks are now making the way to the lake as well. I am flying to the lake tomorrow, and will have more info then. To those that know about it, my ocean boat is up and going now, and I have had some good success this last week.

Remember, Yakutat Lodge is still taking bookings for the month of August and September. Call them at 907-784-3232 for setting up your trip.

Here are some good pics from m new OLYMPUS 14 megapixel camera I received from my wife for my B-day. This new underwater camera is going to come in handy for the Silvers. To those that remember last years underwater Silvers on the Italio. This years video’s are going to be off the hook, or should I say on the hook. I am going to run a fly right in front of the camera and get the entire take and fight underwater. Should be great!!!.

Pinks and a King!

I saw on your post you have some pics either hosted from your server or from a offsite provider. I wanted to know what you found is the best practice, having images outsourced on a service like imagehosting or imagur or is it better to have the pictures completely on your own webserver.
